For those (one or two) interested, there is a new English translation of the Septuagint (NETS) available for free online in pdf format.The interview with Peter Gentry, a Baptist Septuagint scholar, reminded me of the excellent introductory book on the Septuagint, recommended to anyone interested in a basic understanding of what the Septuagint is and the issues surrounding it, called Invitation to the Septuagint by Karen Jobes & Moises Silva.
